Team Management

Manage your team at Settings > Team. Only Owners and Admins can invite members or modify roles.

OwnerFull access — billing, delete org, configure SSO/SCIM, all Admin actions
AdminManage policies, invite/remove members, configure SCM connections, all Developer actions

Each organization has exactly one Owner (the account that created it). Ownership can be transferred from Settings > Team > Transfer Ownership.

Inviting Members

1

Go to Team settings

Go to Settings > Team > Invite Member.
2

Enter email and role

Enter the member’s email address and select their role.
3

Send invitation

Click Send Invite. The member receives an email with a link to accept the invitation.Invitations expire after 7 days. Resend from Settings > Team > Pending Invitations.
When the invited member accepts:
  • If they do not have a MergeGuide account, they are prompted to create one
  • If they already have an account, they are added to your organization and can switch to it from the org switcher
Inviting a member consumes a seat. If you are at your seat limit, you must add more seats before sending the invitation. See Billing & Subscription.

Changing a Member’s Role

  1. Go to Settings > Team
  2. Find the member and click Edit
  3. Select the new role
  4. Save
Role changes take effect immediately on the member’s next page load.

Removing Members

  1. Go to Settings > Team
  2. Find the member and click Remove
  3. Confirm removal
Removed members lose access immediately. Their data (evaluations attributed to them, API keys created by them) is retained. The seat is freed. If the organization uses SSO enforcement, the member is also prevented from signing in via SSO on their next attempt.

Pending Invitations

View all pending invitations at Settings > Team > Pending Invitations. Actions available:
  • Resend — sends the invitation email again with a fresh 7-day expiry
  • Cancel — invalidates the invitation link

Organization Switching

Users who are members of multiple MergeGuide organizations can switch between them without signing out. To switch organizations:
  1. Click your organization name in the top-left of the dashboard
  2. Select a different organization from the dropdown
  3. The dashboard reloads in the context of the selected organization
Each organization has its own policies, repositories, evaluations, and settings. Switching does not affect the other organization’s state.

SCIM Auto-Provisioning

Business and Enterprise plans support SCIM v2 for automatic user lifecycle management. When SCIM is configured, your identity provider manages MergeGuide membership automatically — manual invitation is not required. See SCIM Provisioning.

Audit Log

All team management actions are recorded in the audit log: invitations sent, roles changed, members removed, SSO and SCIM configuration changes. View the audit log at Settings > Security > Audit Log. Audit log retention varies by plan:
